View Full Version : I think I mis-played this one

So, my 1st foray into O8 last night, and I played the following hand.

This is .50/$1, very loose full table with one aggressive player sitting across the table (raised almost every hand pre-flop). I'm in BB with A A 5 8 and one A suited.

All but 2 call to me and I raise, all call (7.5 BB)

Flop is A Q J

I check and call. Bettor was the aggressive guy on the other side (AGOOS), there were 5 callers (10.5 BB)

Flop is rag, I check, EP bets, AGOOS raises, I call along with 2 others (including EP bettor) (14 BB)

Turn is A, I bet, EP and AGOOS call

There was no lo, I picked up a pretty good pot.

Would it be right to raise the flop? I think it was likely there was a str8 out there, is that too pessemistic?

I think I should have raised the turn, now that I'm posting this, it looks like 10:44 to draw the nuts/no low, getting 15/1-ish pot odds

Is that right?

I'm also thinking a C/R on the river might have been better, but I didn't want to risk a check-through.

I was kind of disappointed nobody raised... /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
