Playing 3-6 on UB. The game was shorthanded with about 5 players. I've played with the button player before who seems to be pretty solid to me.

Folded to button who raises. I have KK in the small blind.

I three bet and he caps.

Flop is Qs 7c 3c

I bet, button raises, I 3 bet and he caps.

Turn is 6s and it goes check check

River is 2d

I bet and he folds.

I had a feeling that the button had AA to cap preflop and on the flop. That's why I checked the turn. Of course when he checked I figured he had a big ace or Axc(not AQ).

So should I always lead out on the turn in this situation. Was I too weak to check here.

I think you over-played it as it is; but what do I know. From your description it sure doesn't LOOK like he's the kind of guy who will cap the flop with the A-flush draw, and that's the only hand you can beat. And that hand has 12 outs to beat you. And if he DOES have AA or QQ YOU have only 2 outs and will be faced with a raise.

If you can lay this one down to a turn raise then that's a reasonable reason to bet it out.
