I only play online and beat the 3/6 holdem. Now I want to play live also. Should I start at 3/6 or start higher? Advice or personal experience appreciated.

depends on where you want to play. I'm here in Wisconsin, and the lowest limit at the place I play at is 2-4, and it plays like play money games. It's insane.

I've heard that the 5-10 games play like Party .50/1 games.

You should be able to go about twice the limit at live games typically. So if you are beating 3/6 party, then you might want to try 6/12 in a casino for similar type play. As always though, your mileage may vary.

I play 2-4 primarily online and usually play 4-8 or 5-10 live. The live game is a bit slower and live players are more prone to be interested in gambling vs the online players who are more interested in making money. Considering those two factors I think it is easier to move up and keeps you more interested when playing live.

I suggest playing something a bit above your typical online game, but be sure you are comfortable with the betting limits especially if you are stuck in a kill game or something, all Foxwoods 5-10 are full kill so at a good table (loose agressive/passive) you end up playing a lot of 10-20.

i've played 2/4 on party and 4/8 in vegas. Both are about the same. It is easier to spot the maniacs in live play though, b/c of their actions outside of playing their cards.

Interesting. I play 2/4 live and online. Maybe I should move up, but I think I will wait until the bankroll is a bit healthier.
