A challenge to anybody who claims they can "pattern map" /images/graemlins/smirk.gif. Here is a sequence of 30 hands from a Partypoker HE limit game. The first two cards in each line are the player's hole cards. The next three are the flop. Please predict the turn and river. Just predicting the turn and river on the last five hands should be sufficient. /images/graemlins/smile.gifThank you.

[ Ad, 7h ] [ Jh, 7d, Qd ] Turn 3d, river Jd--player makes nut flush, I have QQ and make full house. Limit is $50-$100, I drag a $4,000 pot.

[ Ad, 5h ] [ 9c, 2s, Qh ] Turn Ac, river As--player makes trip Aces, I have 99 and make full house. Limit is $200-$400, I drag a $12,000 pot.

[ Td, Kd ] [ 7s, 2c, 6h ] Turn 2s, river 2d--player makes King high, bluffs all the way, I call with AK and drag a small $64,000 pot at $8,000-$16,000.

This is fun. And not one iota less accurate than any patern-mapping-conspiracy-smelling-two-hand-wanking-self-deluding bozo might claim.

Do pattern-mappers claim the pattern is detectable from only the hole cards and flop? I would think they use previous turn and river cards too.

i'll need more information before i attempt an answer. can you please send the following?

- dew point and moon phase in saskatchewan while these hands were being dealt.

- body weight of each player involved in kilograms.

- zip codes of everyone on the waiting list for this game.

- date and time that the player in seat 1 (or if empty, the next lowest-numbered occupied seat) lost his or her virginity.

since i already have a translation of the tao te ching into ancient coptic, you don't have to supply that for me.

good luck
