1/2 6-Max on stars. MP I raise with K /images/graemlins/club.gifQ /images/graemlins/club.gif. Button and SB call. I have no reads on either player.

Flop: J /images/graemlins/club.gif9 /images/graemlins/club.gif9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

Checked to me, I bet both call.

Turn: 5 /images/graemlins/club.gif

Again checked to me, I bet, both call.

River: 5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

Checked to me again, What do I do?

When somebody asks that question, the answer ends up being "Yes" more than 90% of the time. This hand is no exception.

I see two posters here saying you should bet after it's been checked to you. I don't understand. Do you really expect to see someone with a full house to fold here? And do you really expect someone with just two pair to call? Those would be the only conditions that make you any money when you bet, right?

No

And do you really expect someone with just two pair to call?

Yes

Not only would I expect one worse hand to call, most of the time I would expect *two* worse hands to call.

Which full house do you expect someone to have? With both calling the flop it seems pretty unlikely that either has a 5 in their hand and since they just called the turn it seems unlikely that either has a 9.

A Jack will definitely call and Ace high will often call or even overcall in these games. It's an easy river bet.

You have to watch for a minute to see baleeted, but the whole thing is hilarious.

Are you kidding? Ace high will call you here on a regular basis.

Well when no one raised the turn I was almost positive no one had a nine, well I guess I was wrong. I bet the river, both players called and the button turned over a nine. Thanks guys.

This hand was raised preflop, so the pot size is pretty good.

Who folds on the river when the pot has never been raised after the flop?

Wow. I guess he feared the monster quads or JJ. Either that or he didn't know that full house beats flush. Nice table selection.
