The Bike is. Big spillover to Commerce.

Mason and I were talking a couple weeks ago and he told me he was heading out to the Commerce for a while. So, I'm sure the sighting is true (if you were doubting it).

Hmmm... I was thinking I might try to stop by Commerce this weekend. Anyone know how approachable Mason is at the tables? (e.g. Would he be willing to sign my copy of Poker Essays III if I happen to spot him and retrieve the book from my car...?)

I'm sure he'll be glad to say hello and sign your book, especially if you tell him you're a 2+2 poster.

But, he probably won't want to have a long conversation with some stranger and answer questions about how to play AJo UTG. /images/smile.gif I bet he gets a lot of that.

It's customary to tip Mason a dollar or two after he signs your book.

I had some business in LA and was at the Commerce Thursday and Friday nights. I also stayed in the hotel there, and I did get to talk to a few of our posters. However, I'm now back in Las Vegas.

Best wishes,

Mason

mason could you say a word on the games you played there and whether you moticed any difference in the style of play, level of aggressiveness, how good the game was, etc? im assuming you played some 30-60 while you were in town.. but did you get a chance to play the wild 40-80 that some of us weaker players like to complain about?

I played $30-$60 but not the $40-$80. I was on the list but never got in. The $30-$60 was loose and fairly passive. I understand that the $40-$80 is much more aggressive.

yes that's the case. there are some truly excellent players playing the 40-80 as well as some stark raving maniacs with no regard for money.

your assessment of the 30-60 is right in line with what i think of it.

it's basically the biggest game/second biggest game theory going on w/ those two games on that side of the room since the gap up to 80-160 is so large.
