Hello all I've just turned 21 looking to get better. I've been playing low limit holdem snice I was 18 at Indiana Casino's but now want to get into bigger and better games. I'm a very tight aggersive player. But the problem is I don't know how to play weaker hands like jt suited or qt or what ever. I haven't read any books and am wondering what books are a must to improve my game. Please give more than one if you don't mind. Thank you all very much.

Well If you haven't read any books at all on Hold'Em. I would first read Hold'Em Poker by David Sklansky. Read this, then play quite a few hours, then move on to Hold'Em For Advanced Players.

Also, read The Theory of Poker. It is the best book on poker ever written.

Later,

I started with the books of Lee Jones, Lou Krieger, followed those of Malmuth's and Sklansky's (Theory of Poker and Texas Hold'em (the basic one and then the HEFAP). Be forewarned that one reading will not do. It is a continuous study - read, learn, apply, read again, etc., etc.,. If you follow the basics, like starting hands, and maintain the discipline which I believe is the foremost requirement and with more playing experience you can be a winning player. Good luck.
