$30 tourney on Paradise. About 1,400 players started. About 400 are left. Avg. stack is about $5,200. Blinds are $100-$200 with a $25 ante. I have $13,755, which is second most chips at the table.

First 3 players fold. MP calls. A fold. Then I call in CO+1 with K /images/graemlins/diamond.gifQ /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. CO, Button and both blinds call. 6 to the flop with $1,450 in the pot.

Flop is 6 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif K /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

Folded to me. I bet $1,200. CO calls. Everyone else folds. 2 to the turn with $3,850 in the pot. CO has $4,500 remaining.

Turn is 5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif.

I go all-in. Thoughts?

I personally would have raised pre-flop, but that's me. What was the outcome?

Hard 2 put him on a hand preflop. Take it your thinking was he was on a flush draw? What if he had open ended str8 draw post flop after calling preflop 89s (even better for him if hearts!)

Suppose he may have been on something like Kojak but he'll likely only call you with winning hand so is all-in such a good move?

I forced him all-in on the turn. He called. He had 66 for the flopped set of sixes.

I like his flop call. It makes him look like he was on the flush draw, wich is what I thought, hence my bet to force him all in. The pot was already $3,800 and he only had $4,500 left, so I thought there was little difference in making a pot sized bet versus a $4,500 bet.

Anyway, thanks for the responses. I think the biggest mistake I made was not raising pre-flop as others had indicated. There was already one limper and with the blinds and antes, the pot was significant to make a $600-$800 bet to get the pot heads up very attractive. It would have made playing this hand a lot easier had I raised.
