MP calling station limps, SB calls and I check in the BB with K9o.

Flop 9-5-3. I bet CS calls, SB folds

Turn 10 rainbow. I bet CS calls.

River A. I am first to act……….

I think check-calling is best here. There are only a few hands he will call you with which you can beat such as smaller pocket pairs and a 9 with a weaker kicker. These types of players will stick around to catch an Ace on the river. If all he had was KQ, KJ and missed his overcards, he'll fold to a bet on the river.

The quandary here is that the more tenacious the calling station and thus the increased chance of getting a loose low pair call, the HIGHER the chances he stuck around to snag the big pair on the river.

Anyway, if he's reasonably aggressive suggesting that he would raise with lots of his Aces before the flop then I'd say bet it. If he's somewhat selective but very passive then definately check (and probably fold). Against those that tend to play far too many hands before the flop but not ON the flop (suggesting he doesn't always call with overcards) then definately bet.

But there is no clear decision, it depends on the opponent.

I bet, because against this guy I could safely fold to a raise.
