I'm going to Vegas next week from Tuesday to Friday and was wondering if anyone had a heads up on good low limit Omaha/8 games, anywhere from 2/4 to 5/10. Thanks in advance! (Do PLO8 games with less than $200 buy in exist too?)

You can play 5-10 Omaha8 with a full-kill at the Mirage. The Bellagio has a 6-12 game, also with a full-kill.
You won't find that kind of PLO8 game anywhere.

i play omaha about never, but out of curiousity, how does the kill work? 2 pots or pot size? How big if pot size?
Thanks,
Zack

In the games I've played there was a kill if a player scooped the whole pot and the pot was over some amount. ($40 in $3-$6, $60 in $5-$10).

In the Mirage 5-10 game, the kill is in place when somebody scoops a pot of $75 or more. The Bellagio system is similar.

How often (on weeknights) do they actually get the 6-12 O/8 going at Bellagio? I'm going to be in Vegas on business in a few weeks. Last February they had a 10-20 O/8 which was a pretty good game, but my understanding from talking to the other players at the table was that it wasn't getting spread most nights....
In addition to the places Dynasty listed, the Orleans regularly spreads 4/8 and 6/12 O8 with a half kill.

I don't pay enough attention to the Bellagio's Omaha8 games to know how often they are running. However, the Mirage 5-10 game is always running and they often have two of them.

The 20-40 game goes regularly. The 6-12 is rarely seen.

Thanks for the replys everyone!
How is the competition at a level like 5/10? The only other time I have played O8 at a casino was 2/4 at Mohegan Sun before they closed the poker room. What kind of limit is it comprable to online? Or what kind of flop percentages should I be expecting? Would a decent low-limit HE player make more than a decent low-limit O8 player at the same limits or vice versa? Thanks everybody.
I also hope the snow doesn't cancel my flight out of JFK tomorrow /images/graemlins/frown.gif

anybody know the type of games these are ? Loose ? Tight ? At what limit do the majority of players become experts ?
I've played in the Mirage 5/10 a few times, and during the day when I played mostly tight old men (regulars) with one or two tourists occasionally providing some action. When I have played late at night there have been several very loose guys who don't really get hi/low that made it a real juicey game (but be prepared to be drawn out on the river by guys hanging around with trash).

Its a shame about Binions. The 4-8 O8 kill game was friendly and fun. Where are the Binons players now?

I played some 6/12 Omaha/8 at Bellagio back in late '00, but I think then it was half-kill at a scooped pot of $65.

$65 scooped pot ? I've had bigger pots than that at $2/$4, must be a tighter game or else there are a lot of kills happening.
