1) Very loose and passive game. Any aggression means they have something...

I have K5s on the button. 4 limpers. I limp. SB completes. BB checks.

Flop: 346. 6 is a spade
A bet in EMP. 3 call. I raise. SB folds. BB calls. Others call.

Turn: Js.
Checked to MP who bets. Call. I call. BB calls. Folded back to MP.

2) This one for kicks. Another day, another game.

I just sit down in UTG+2. No real reads other than having played with MP, but after watching, the game looks good. Get cards, take a quick look and see AKh. I raise. 2 cold
callers. BB calls. I take another peek at my cards, and "uh-oh" I have K4h!

Flop: K36 with 1 heart.
Oh well. I bet. MP and BB call.

Turn: 3.
Get out! I bet my AK. MP calls. BB folds. So much for that plan.

I don't normally play Kxs, I fold preflop unless in the blinds.

Hand#1

You could consider raising the turn with so many outs.

Hand#2
Bet the river.

It's very rare for me, things have to be just right...but in hand 1, I had just read p. 163 of HPFAP and thought I'd try it out. All of the conditions were met, so there you go...

This occured to me later.

This makes sense as it would have been my last, only chance to drive out MP. I was only in the hand due to my card misread so I was a bit flustered.

Oh, btw it was a 4/8 game. Hand 2 in a kill game, but this was not a kill pot. Hand 1 normal.

Hand 1.

River: As
MP bets, fold, I raise. MP re-raises. I raise again. MP calls, makes a comment about chopping and turns over AJo. He was truly surprised to see the nut flush.

Hand 2.

River: Q
I check, MP checks.
He has KT. We chop. I manage to salvage a bit from my card misread.

In playing with MP of hand 2, I know that he likes to call and only comes alive with a solid hand. He will typically cold call preflop with any 2 broadway cards, Ax, or pairs. On the turn I figured he most likely had a K (KQo/s, KJo/s KTo/s or K9o/s), but he could have had Ax. So I checked thinking he would only bet with KQ and would fear a C/R otherwise.

Anyway, I RARELY play Kxs out of the blinds, but once in a while it seems to be the right thing to do. Of course though, I won't be raising with it as in Hand 2.
