Party 5/10 6 max normal game. 3 limpers, you raise in SB with AQo. BB 3 bets and it goes without saying that all call. 5 to the flop of rag rag rag rainbow. Check or bet here? You check, BB bets, all call to you. Call or fold?

Is that a clear fold, closing the action and getting 19:1 ?

I think if your AQ is suited and you have one of your suit its an easy call, being unsuited I'm unsure

It's a tough call to make for the following reasons:

1. There's a decent chance that there's at least one Ax out there and your ace outs will make someone's two pair.

2. You can hit your queen and still be losing to BB's likely overpair or someone else's flopped set, two pair, OE str8 that hits (flop has only been called rags, so, I guess I'm interpretting that the flop could be friendly to an 87s to 65s type hand), etc.

...I wouldn't call the flop call a bad call, but I'd definitely proceed with caution even if the turn is an ace or queen.

James I agree with you. I called here, and I think it is a mistake (not just b/c of the results /images/graemlins/smile.gif ). The turn was a Q, and I bet. Luckily the BB was weak tight and just called and called again on the river with his KK. Seems like every time I call with overcards, whatever odds I'm getting, I get in trouble. Hmmm... wonder if I'm on to something.

I'm with the check-fold crowd, especially since you are against 19 opponents.
