Party 2-4, 2 players involved here seem reasonable to me.

I'm in the BB with AJo, folded to MP who limps, SB completes and I check. (?)

3 to the flop (Q J 6) (suits unimportant this hand)

SB bets, I call, MP calls

3 to the turn (Q J 6) J

SB bets, I call. Before I get blasted, I wanted the overcall from MP, then raise the river. Well, MP raises! SB calls and I 3-bet. Both call.

3 to the river (Q J 6) J K

SB bets out! I bite my lip and raise, MP cold calls and SB calls.

Who thinks MHIG? Results below.

>sigh< Did I botch the turn? I doubt SB would have called 2 cold, so I guess I did.

Hi Pyite,

I would raise this pre-Flop. Being that you didn't, I would fold to the bet on the Flop. Calling the Flop is easily your worst option. Do you think your 2nd pair, top kicker is the best hand on the Flop? If so, RAISE. If not, FOLD. The pot is too small to chase to your 5-outer if you think you are behind.

Thanks, Brian you're right...

I think I have found a leak. I just so happened to be reading WLLH right now (just got it). He talks about TRUE pot odds, compared to how much you personally have invested. pg. 19

I'm thinking... "a third of that pot is my money, I'm gonna defend it!" instead of thinking...."do I have the best hand right now? If yes, raise. If no, fold."
