Last night on TGC, I played a wildly successful Grannie Mae:

1/2 Limit Hold 'Em

Pre-flop: Capped betting with MP & I (button) raising twice each. 3 other players call everything. (5 to see flop).

Flop: 6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Not bad at all. I think one second trying to put opponents on hands and realize IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER.

2 EP players check, MP bets, CO calls, I raise, 2 EP players call, MP reraises, CO calls, I cap, all call. 5-way capped betting again.

Turn: Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

2 EP players check, MP bets, CO calls, I raise, EP1 folds, all else call. (4-way 2 bet)

River: the card I was forming a mental picture of in my head: 3 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

All check to me, I bet, only MP calls.

I show down the straight and drag the $60 pot. Typing "Grannie Mae -- woo-hoo!!!!" in the chat.

The responses:
EP: "no ooooooooooo k"
MP: "bs"

I played for 10 more minutes with a $hit-eating grin on my face.

What chance do these people have, the correct abbr. is clearly GM not bs.

Sheesh, they are so dumb.

good going.

I got a similar reply on a GM that worked at a Party SnG the other day. He said "learn to play poker." Clearly he is not privvy to the newest hand strenght charts that show GM on top. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
