Queation about auto-insurance....

If I am driving my girl friends car and i get into an accident without having an insurance policy for that car in my name, can she be sued? I am over 18 years old.

This hasnt happened, but I it dawned on me today, and I was a little hesitant to get behind the wheel. If only I can get sued, I am okay with it. But I dont want here to ahve to go through any problems because of any negligence I may cause.

I'm not an expert, I'm sure Wake up CALL will have an answer for you, but almost all standard policies cover the car, as long as the driver is licensed, all is well.
