I have run many simulations on Turbo, and I consistently find the following starting hands to have positive expectation over millions of hands in limit hold'em.

Instead of early, middle and late, I found that breaking it into 2-seat "bites" helps.

Of course, game conditions dictate modifications, but generally speaking this is the paradigm I have been using in unraised pots.

I welcome any comments.

1st 2 seats left of the big blind
AA-88
Suited cards that add to 20 (aces count 11, so A9 included)
AK-AJ unsuited

2nd 2 seats add
77
Suited cards that add to 19
AT, KQ unsuited

3rd 2 seats add
66
Unsuited cards that add to 20
Ax suited

Last 2 seats (cutoff and button) add
55 (smaller pairs if volume pot)
Suited cards that add to 18 (smaller suited 0-gap connectors if volume pot)
Kx suited

Small Blind
Any Ace
Any pair
Any suited face card
Any 3, 2, 1 or 0-gap suited connector
Any unsuited cards adding to 20

Shooting at a target is easy.

Shooting at a target that is shooting back is hard.

Seems a bit loose to me.

Reminds me of my favorite phrase to describe it when the live ones are winning, "hunting's no fun when the rabbits got the gun."

I think you're looking for trouble in many hands that contain a Ten, such as limping KTs, QTs under the gun, and playing KT, QT, and JT from anything earlier than the cutoff seat.
