He did indeed sound ridiculous. I also saw General Clark on Bill Maher's show the other night, and he was singularly unimpressive.

Kerry just might be the comeback kid and go all the way.

The real question on Clark is whether Michael Moore's endorsement will help him or hurt him. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

As a man (an not as a candidate), I feel sorry for Dean. He pretty much melted down.

I was reading today that he has had some emotional issues before and that he has had panic attacks in the past. seeing a candidate get beat is one thing, seeing a man have an emotional meltdown is quite another.

Also, Clark is a real A-hole. My understanding is that he was uniformly hated in the military. His attack on Kerry last night saying that he was a general and Kerry was of a much lower rank should disqualify him from running. To paraphrase Rush today, "I hate Kerry's anti-war stance, his position on Iraq, and his politics in general. But say what you will about the guys politics, his war record is outstanding and he risked his life for his country. That makes him a hero".

Kerry is indeed, at the moment, looking well. Now, if he can constrain himself some and not get too ungainly with his promises he will do even better. But I noted he said something about "taking the country back" in the little snippet of his 'victory speech' that I saw. I gagged at that- but maybe that's what people want to hear so I could be wrong on this point.

If this victory goes to his head too much he may soon declare that he can do a soft shoe dance on the rings of Saturn with the head of Lucifer under one arm and that of King George Bush under the other. These demagogues tend to get more delusional and more overblown with each successive victory (or defeat – note Dean’s reaction). Also Kerry needs to wear a top hat (to counteract his long face) and carry a cane - this touch of 'Old fashionness' will appeal to the all-important ‘swing voter'.

Now that would be an improvement for him, and he looks well-fitted for the part.

I will support Dean because he seems like someone who will make decisions based on what he thinks is right, not based on what he thinks will get him re-elected. Now, this is just my impression of him, but he at least seems like he is interested in helping the country instead of himself.

Kerry is a career politician, and that's gross. Bush will
do whatever it takes to get reelected. Clark is a career military guy, and is probably in this for his legacy, rather than the country.

That's why I liked, now don't laugh, Jesse The Body. He wasn't interested in making a life out of politics, and that's cool.

Just some thoughts.

Uh oh, a Rush Limbaugh fan. I hope at the least you take what he says with a huge grain of salt. Rush is right about one thing though: Kerry really is a hero, although it remains to be seen if he can be a good political leader.

OK. I just couldn't remember anything in the content that was objectionable.
