View Full Version : Playing AA from BB at Low Limit

This is a question regarding play of AA, KK, QQ at low limit (3/6).

If there are many callers ahead of you and you are on the button or in one of the blinds, is it correct to limp with these hands.

I am inclined to Always raise on the button to get the blinds out (though, in some games, the BB NEVER Folds to a single raise), but from the Big Blind it seems like a decent play to go in for one bet and make the money up on the other end. I'll limp with AK, AQ, med pairs etc, but so far not with AA, KK, QQ- my feeling is, make everyone pay max.... But if there are lots of callers (5 or more) a raise will not get them out.

Hence the question; does it pay to "always" raise or by having so many callers is your edge sufficiently reduced to merit limping in hopes of really cleaning up with favorable flops?

Thanks; I wish I were faced with this problem more often but this has been nagging at me.

AA and KK are more or less autoraises against more than one opponent unless the game is very tough (very unusual at 3/6).
