I am in correspondence with Mr True-Man about our rebates and bonuses. We are calculating on there being 100 players, paying $20+$2, but the offers stand in any case.

Here are the deals done to date:

Anyone who plays 100 raked hands by midnight EST of February 4th (that averages at only 5 raked hands per day from now!) at any level will receive a $10 Rebate after they play in the Tourney. (Possible $1000 added.)

Anyone who registers by midnight EST on 31st January will receive a $2 Early Bird Rebate after they play in the Tourney. (Possible $200 added.)

The player who finishes on the Bubble will receive a Bellagio Casino $50 Food and Beverage comp. (Fully Transferable.) ($50 added.)

The first player to win a pot with a revealed GrannyMae (Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif5/images/graemlins/spade.gif) will receive a $25 Bonus. (Possible $25 added.)

The winners of the first twenty Last Longer Bets posted in the Zoo or the SS, and notified to Support, of $5 or more, will each receive an additional $5 from TruePoker. (Possible $100 added.)

Up to the first five players knocked out of the Tournament by the eventual winner, if they finish outside the money, will each receive $10 Compensation. (Possible $50 added.)

There will be a $25 bonus to the non-final table player who knocks out the most of the opposing Team's Members. ($25 added.)

There will be a $25 bonus to the non-final table player who knocks out the most of his own Team's Members. ($25 added.)

(Total cost to TruePoker is possible $1475 added plus possible $100 TD Fee.)

I'll take on any of you for a $20 last longer. First to reply in this thread gets it. Free money.
Is Barry around? He was my nemesis last time and it was close. I'll play him anyway, if he's in and wants to put up.

Could be the easiest shot you'se have - I ain't skilled like them other zoo'ers. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Just to confirm the bet here, for any newbies.

dogsballs bets $20 he Lasts Longer than you do, in the Tourney.

You match the $20.

If you win, you receive $25, so you are getting 5 to 4 on what is, (theoretically, with equal skills), a 4 to 4 bet.

You should all be grabbing and offering these bets before they go.

If you offer a $5 bet, win, and receive the $10, you are getting 8 to 4 on a 4 to 4 bet. That has got to be a good bet against almost anyone.

Come on, guys, whose butt do you want to kick?

And I thought thomastem had all the chickens! B'cawk.

Maybe it's too steep for the SS.
Ok, how about $10. Risk 10 to win 15..!

Any takers from you lily livered lot. I even told you I ain't good - just look at my past zoo performances.

What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. And just when I think you've said the stupidest thing ever, you keep talking.

So swallow it and shut the &%$# up. Since you're the sort of man who thinks he knows it all and then promptly goes ahead and proves that he doesn't, I'll outlast you roguish tickle-brained barnacle. $20.

BTW, Your momma is so fat, she jumped up in the air and got stuck, you neanderthal numsbskull. And that's a good thing, cause if momma ever gets down and looks out the window they gonna arrest her for mooning.

Good man! Knew I could goad someone into it. "Rogueish tickle-brained barnacle"...I like it. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I heckled NutCracker on your team too - maybe he'll step up for a bite - poss Barry too (I assume I'm only eligible for one extra 5 if I win, but maybe Mr Trueman'll give out the 5 to my opps but not me, if others have a wager with me...so long as his limit isn't reached).
You're up for the first one tho' JR.

Just so you know, JR. Since I suck, I've been training today. I played a 1-table and a 2-table SNG on Stars this avo. Just so you SS'ers know what to expect, here's my favourite hand...

Two table SNG, down to 5-handed at each of two tables. I'm comfortable big stack (naturally, JR /images/graemlins/wink.gif ) w/ 5k. The rest somewhere about 1 to 1.5k.

I get 9c3c in the BB. Woohoo. There's 2 limpers plus both blinds, so four of us look at the flop of 7s6c2c. I bet out and it ends up w/ 2 players all-in for a pile of chips.

Turns out it's:

Flop: 7s6c2c

Me: 9c3c
Opp1: KcTc
Opp2 JsJh

Guess who won?

Please e-mail me at zoopoker@yahoo.com, now, with your twoplustwo alias in order that I may send you the password to register for the Tourney.

Don't forget to register before 1st February to receive the $2 Early Bird Bonus.

Thank you.

I have asked the guys in the Tournaments Forum, (I'll call them Touns, until they settle on a name), if they might be interested in joining in the Zoo vs SS Tournament as a third Team.

I can't see any huge problem with this. The SS will still be competing with the Zoo in their "bit" of the Tourney, but now also competing with the Touns at the same time.

Unless there is an uproar from the existing Teams, I'll proceed on the basis that you agree they can join us.

If anyone already in the SS Team, (see my Profile), would like to change to the Touns, please tell me, in this thread.

Thank you.

We need nineteen more volunteers to represent the SS in this third opportunity to keep the Zoo in its place for another month or two.

Please step forward as soon as possible - it wouldn't show a good table image if the Team wasn't full.

Has everyone e-mailed me at ZooPoker@yahoo.com for the password, due out in the next day or two? Thank you.

If you guys from the SS team wish it, I could give you a short lesson on how to play No Limit poker, don't be ashamed to ask /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not correct, we will pay the first bets posted up to the limit, if you get more than one in, AND win, you get the bonus .... In the BOSS tourney, one player collected twice.

Have at it.

Hi, BigEndian - thanks for the offer.

Unfortunately, it's been decided that a $100 bet might put unnecessary pressure on other players under certain circumstances, so we are putting a $25 max on Last Longer bets.

I can't see any problem with you taking four $25 bets with different players, if you can get them.

Good luck.

But what if he takes 4 times $25 bets with the same player.

Actually, I don't agree about this pressure thing. You don't have to take the bet with him if you don't want to. And if you're not in it, don't worry about it. Are people worried about offending someone if, say, they are in a position to put BigEndian all-in with their monster, even if they're not part of this 'big' wager? Shouldn't matter. We're all grown up boys and girls and should put him all-in and say "Ha!".

I agree that a big wager is out of character for the tourney, but disagree that it should be disallowed.

Besides, there's nothing to stop any two players making a side wager amongst themselves anyway (they'd just miss out on the free $5).

i'm glad you said this ...

i think i mean, that because it is supposed to be a friendly rivalry thing, costing most people only $10, if you find yourself in a situation where you might cost someone $100 by calling with your King-high, you might feel pressure, justified or not, to change your mind on the call to try to be neutral with regard to the big (relatively) money bet

better safe than sorry, in publicly announced bet terms

The following Players are in the SS Team, but have not yet e-mailed me for the Password. Please note that if you Register before the 1st February you receive a $2 Rebate. To try to avoid "No Shows" letting down the Team, if I haven't been asked for the Password within a day or two of the Tournament the relevant Players will be dropped from the Team, so, as well as to help me in administrative terms, please request the Password, immediately. Thank you.
