Hi all,
I am new to this forum. I will be visiting Reno in March. I plan to mix skiing with some poker (middle limit holdem for me and 1-5 stud for the wife) and exploration. My questions are : 1)Which casino(s) has(have) good poker action? 2)Are there any good shows to see? 3)Where are good places to eat (buffets/seafood/etc) 4) What about some BJ action?

If you're in to tourney action, the Hilton is hosting a week long series of tourneys (similar to WSOP in structure)in Mid to late March. I don't remember the start date and I haven't seen the schedule yet (which events when) but I'd be sure to check it out. They have $25/$35 room rates for tourney players and I've been told you can just "say" your in the tourney to get these rates.

I going to be playing at the Peppermill next weekend. I'll try to post a report. I don't know the poker rooms there that well, but there is another similar thread in this forum that answers the poker part of your question.

Actually I am doing the same thing in march. Skiing at Squaw valley and then going to the Reno Hilton to play 2 or 3 tournies. The tourney starts on the March 18 and runs through the end of the month.

So I suspect that would be the place to play during that timeframe.

Spiderman,

The Brew Brothers at the ElDorado has good beer and decent food for the $$. Also liked the 3/6 full kill game there. Had all 9 tables going last time, 1 stud, 3 4/8,
4 3/6 and one NL game.

Have you seen the schedule of events for the Hilton tourney? I'm considering going up for a couple of the low level holdem events (and maybe a couple of the others if I do really well in the lower events), but I don't know what days they'll be.

I sent them a message (from their web site) requesting this info, but got no response.
