Went to Sturgis this year and had a few good sessions. Sat down at Ms. Kitty's casino in Deadwood, SD in a lively $2-20 limit game. Strange limit for hold-em but it was the only game with an open seat. Played a few hands and then flopped trip Q's two in my hand. Won the hand but lost to the house. The rake was 10%!!!! No limit on the rake. They took $16 from that pot. I made a huge stink and walked with a nice profit for 15 minutes of playing. Spoke to the floor manager and found out that is what they allow in Deadwood. Later found out that they only have games during the Rally but thought everyone should know. I guess a 10% rake can be beat but not for long... Has anyone else ran into anything as ridiculous as this? Thanks for listening.
