WPT starts licensing program

This is good news for the owners of WPT and its burgeoning brand name, but I'm beginning to doubt any of the potential licensing and sponsorship proceeds will ever make their way into the tournament prize pools. There is no real incentive for the WPT to put extra money into the prize pool as it seems wholly unnecessary in getting the big-name tourney players to show up for these events.

WPT may not directly contribute money, but this could signify an opportunity for some of the players to brand themselves and cash in that way.
