AC Tropicana - Tourney Question

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has ever played in any of the weekly tourneys at the Trop. I was thinking of playing the Sunday morning 7CS8 tourney, and was wondering about a few things.


1) How many people usually enter the tourney?

2) How long does the tourney last (appx)?

3) What is the payout structure like (e.g. how many places get paid, etc.)

I usually play the Wednesday night $60 Hold em tournament. I base my answers on that tournament. I think you can compare the Sunday tourney to it because both have the same buy in.


1) How many people usually enter the tourney? Usually anywhere from 80-105


2) How long does the tourney last (appx)? The tournament starts at 7:20 and ends usually around 12:00 or 12:30. I would say give yourself at least four or five hours.


3)What is the payout structure like (e.g. how many places get paid, etc.) They pay 1-9. If you make it to the final table you get paid. Its a percentage of the prize money. Look up the Tropicanna.com for the exact payout formula.

Pays 1st-8th? 1st gets around 40% or so

Starts early afternoon, runs into early evening

I've usually seen 80 or so
