EP hasn't been at the table long, but limped in MP w/JJ earlier and checked quads on the flop.

I'm dealt A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif K /images/graemlins/club.gif in the CO.

UTG+1 limps, LP limps, I raise, BB calls, UTG+1 3 bets!, LP folds, I cap, BB calls.

Flop is A /images/graemlins/club.gif 5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif J /images/graemlins/spade.gif

BB checks, UTG+1 bets, I reraise, BB folds, UTG+1 3 bets, I call.

Turn is 6 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

He bets, I call.

River is 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif

He bets, I call.

Played well, but it sure looks like you got beat by two-pair or a set. When I get 3-bet on the flop after being the PFR, I go into call down mode if I don't improve on the turn or river.

AA vs AK with an ace on the flop sucks. you lost what you should've. I'm not in love with the cap PF but this board is weak tight post flop and nuts PF. I've read 3 or 4 posts when people capped with JJ. Bizarre.

I didn't realize this was abnormal...I'll cap out AK and JJ virtually every time, especially if I have position on them.

Nah you call him down, hope to see KK or a split pot, but expect AA. I play it the exact same way you did.
