Length of breaks

How long of a break do you all take from poker if any at all? Also, how often? Thanks

Two days per week, I play no poker at all.

Hi esknights,

Currently one week, aboard the ms VEENDAM (currently in port at Belize City, Belize). Although I do have internet access, it's about $25/hr and I don't feel like adding $38 to the vig to play a SNG ... so I'm taking the week off from playing.

In general, though, I play 4 days a week and take 3 days a week off. Poker is my second job. My first job is writing novels, and deadlines seem to always be hanging overhead like the sword of Damocles. So as much as I love poker, I have to discipline myself not to invest so much time and mental energy that I can't get my writing done.
