I had a ninteen hour 3-6 session from 11:30 AM to 6 AM at viejas (indian casino)
I played tighten then I usually do. My standards were pretty much J-10 or better, 22-88 for one bet, 88+ for two. I would layed down tons of suited Ax, as high as A8s.
My general idea was to ditch the crap hands, invest in the good ones and win a couple large pots here and there.
Playing that tight let my rack last me 19 hours, and at one point I was up to $240 (shoulda walked) I ended up going bust at the end, had a 2 hour drought and then my last 40 went to the fella whose A high flush beat my K high.
I figure I can play rags on the BB, and the weak hands on SB and thats 2/9 hands right there, so why invest anymore in the garbage. I used to like the suited connectors 56s or better, but that dont show profit long run.
What do you think?
PS I was still up for the day(s) I was there because after live I played the 25 dollar tourney and made the final table, where we each chopped and got %275
