As part of my bankroll growth strategy I am doing some bonus whoring.

I have given up on the pokeroom one partly cos the games seem to tight for me and secondly I really hate the software, especially as it kept crashing on my laptop. I may go back to it at some point in the future.

So I am looking elsewhere.

On another forum there is mention that Pacific is a good place to play because a lot of players come in from the casino and so there are a lot of poor players there, whats peoples experience of the site? I understand you can only play one table but that is fine with me as that is how I am playing anyway in a bid to think and improve hand/player reading skills etc.

Main questions is it an ok site and how long does the bonus take to clear at 1/2?

or is there another site I should look at currently have accounts at and bonus cleared at

Party
Coral (before the 2 account ban)
VC/Golden Palace
Gaming Club
Ladbroke
Inter and skins for the monthly bonus
PokerStars
Pokerroom

So I think the other options are Paradise and UB.

Any advice?

Ive been playing Pacific poker for almost a year, they gave me some promotion worth 25 bucks when i created my play money account there. I didn't even make a deposit, but started playing with the 25 they gave me. I started playing .10/.20 and boy is the play awful. Unfortunately the software is insanely slow. Since i can only have one table open at a time i also play a table at UB. I can usually play about 3/4 hands at UB for the time it takes to play one hand at Pacific. However most of my profits come from Pacific, because the games are soooooooooo good. If you can handle some bad beats i think you should definitely give Pacific a try.

Pacific has a site full of very weak players - even just a moderately tallented player should be able to make some money. The $2/4 game is as any 50/$1 game elsewhere. Their bonus is great - 25% up to $100 plus I got $20 for filling in my correct address for equifax. _ _ Now the drawbacks - you can only play one game at a time - I played with their site and Party open at the same time so I could still play 2 or 3 games. The players are very slow - so I only got in about 40 hands per hour - And the BIGGIE - the bonus is paid immediately, but you can only draw it out after playing 20 times the amount in bets. This means if you play a low limit and are tight, it is going to take a lot of hours to get your $. ($2000 in bets for the $100 max bonus) If you are playing $2/4 or $3/6 like I was it won't take as long. (Took me about 6 hours) As for drawing your winnings out - well, I did the cash-out and five days later got an email saying they had my request and informed me that it takes as long as 14 days to get a check - so, I am still waiting.

I've been playing Pacific since august and there is a lot of money to be made there! All the drawbacks of the site are true however: slow tables, one table at a time, long cashout waits. However, all of my cashouts have come within 3 weeks by mail and 4 days by neteller and there have been plenty of them because of the schools of fish on the site for me to stomp on.

You will take more bad beats than normal because they will call down with anything, but the size of the pots you win more than make up for it. The other thing most people don't mention about the site is that is great for playing short handed. If you are a strong player at 3-5 person tables, you can make a killing.

Don't play at pacific if:
1. taking bad beats puts you on tilt easily
2. playing 40 or less hands an hour is torture
3. you like winning pots before a showdown with aggression
(They'll call with ANY piece of the board, and sometimes less than that.)
4. you need your money back quickly

Do play pacific if:
1. You can be super patient with your starting hands and the pace of play.
2. You understand pot odds and how to play accordingly
(The pots are generally big, so once you do see a flop it's harder to let your hand go.)

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the honest feedback everyone.

Sounds like a good place for me then cos at themoment I prefer playing the loose passive tables and so far am managing to not tilt and be patient with the bad beats, playing party .50/1 has prepped me for that.

Sounds like it will be ideal to clear the bonus there while also playing a table at Party as if its slow my mind can start to wander.

Cashout of 4 days to neteller doesnt bother me its only a portion of my bankroll that I need to put in to get the max bonus the rest is tied up in the other sites.

So potentially I can put in my cash to get the bonus then draw back out my extra and use the bonus money as the bankroll there?

i never deposited money there and they gave me 25 bucks. I went up to about 650 and cashed it all out except the 25 as i was planning to move to some other sites. But i started playing with the bonus money again and am building up a decent stack..
