PS .50/1.00 NL ring game. I buy-in for the maximum $100, and after an hour I sit at aproximately $140. UTG in this hand is in his first orbit around the table, and has $98.50

I am UTG+1 with 99. UTG raises to $4. I reraise 8 more to $12 to go so that I can find out where I am at. Folds to UTG, who calls. Pot is now $25.50

The flop is A94 rainbow. UTG checks, and I bet $8, faking weakness. UTG calls. Pot is now $41.50

The turn is a J. UTG checks, and I bet $20. UTG calls. Pot is now $81.50

The river is a K. UTG checks, and I go all-in. UTG calls without hesitation.

How did I do? Results to follow.

i think you did pretty well. since you're not worried about a draw on the flop, your goal is to get a big ace all-in, while possibly still collecting something from a pocket pair smaller than aces. i probably would have bet more on the flop, but you did give him the chance to hang himself.

Well, I won the pot, but am unable to post the opponents hand at this time due to a failure in my e-mail system. My money is certainly on AK, and I will update when I get the chance.
