Im not sure I understand the pre flop action. Sab open raises, MP and Bunk cold call? Is that right?

Sab, three bet the flop

I cold called on the button, BB called I think as well.
After the flop we were heads up.

The check raise knocked out the BB and I was able to isolate Sab with position.

I really not trying to make it "disagree w/ Bunky night" I promise /images/graemlins/grin.gif

But I really cant think of much you would cold call an EP raise with, especially an EP raise of a 2+2er. 99 or TT maybe but Im not sure I like those much either.

I wasn't at the table long and I was in my "fast" gear. (Hence not in default mode)

I also had a pretty good read on him. With my flop raise with position, I could have a lot of hands in that spot and raise for a lot of reasons. (especially in the fast gear) I also pegged him for his hand when he "only called" the flop. I had him read for exactly AK, not clubs though. I figured one of the two was a club.

Would it have been totally wrong to check-raise the turn here?

Bunky had K /images/graemlins/heart.gif Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif and I took it down.

I put SAB on exactly AK on my flop raise and figured there was no way he would call down with no pair.

My read was dead on but he did indeed look me up and he was correct. I was in my fast gear and I do this at the beginning of a lot of sessions.

I did leave the table about an hour and a hlaf later up 20BB.

If you ask Sab he will probably agree that I got a lot more action on my big hands because of this play getting picked off. And I did screw down after this hand.

Also, I picked my spot carefully as Sab is a tight player and is capable of letting that hand go, though in this instance he was 100% correct to call me down.
Though often in that situation, I will not be bluffing.

It was a case where two people knew each others play and played accordingly.

Even though it made me look like a idiot. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
