Just played this hand, and wanted to know the odds of this, just for peace of mind, not to complain.

I have 67o in SB. Flop is 345 rainbow. End up losing the hand to BB who had 82o. What are the odds of him beating me. His only win is a 6 on the turn and a 7 on the river or vice versa. Thanks.

Sorry to be a jerk, but you are asking something that you could easily figure out yourself if you wanted to put forth a little effort.

"Getting the Best of it" or any book on probability would show you how to do these calculations. Why should anyone else bother?

If the actual odds are what you care about, you'll care enough to figure out how to do them and it just might make you a better poker player.

If you don't know how to calculate the odds, ask how, don't ask someone else to do it for you.

If all you really wanted was to just to vent a bad beat story, then good for you, you did it.

Regards,

Paul Talbot

Arthur,

According to a poker simulator I have, the odds are about 99 to 1. This simulator rounds to the nearest percent.

Given we know all the cards, including yours, your opponent's, and the flop: 109:1 against.

Six 6's and 7's in the stub on the flop: probability of hitting one = 6/45. Three cards help on the river: probability of hitting one = 3/44. Probability of the parlay: (6/45) * (3/44).

The probability of this event happening is:

9/45C2 = 9/990= 1/110

So the odds of this event happening is 109 to 1.
