1/2. Loose (33%). 10-handed.

I`m dealt 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif in the BB.
EP2 limp, MP1 limp, I check.
3 to the flop.

[8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 6 /images/graemlins/club.gif] 2 BB.
I bet, EP2 raise, MP1 3-bet, I call, EP2 call.
3 to the turn.

2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif [8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 6 /images/graemlins/club.gif] 6 BB.
I bet, EP2 raise, MP1 call, I call.
3 to the river.

A /images/graemlins/spade.gif [2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 6 /images/graemlins/club.gif] 11.5 BB.
I check, EP2 bet, MP1 call, I call.

The reason I bet on the turn was to not allow any free cards. I tend to do this from time to time. Is that a bad move?

Result below in white font.

Nicely played.

I think you chose a good time for a stop-and-go. If you're ahead on the flop after being raised and three-bet, it isn't by much, and there are a lot of cards that can come on the turn to ruin your hand. Additionally, capping won't get anyone to fold, since your opponents have already put in 2 and 3 bets respectively. On the turn, you'd much rather put 1 or 2 bets in the pot than 0 or 3 (both having it checked around and having your check-raise three-bet suck), so you bet out after a blank comes.

I doubt anyone could ever make me play that hand that way. What is that, the Californian way of playing HE?

played well. The only difference is I would ahve capped the flop, bet the turn, call the raise, check call the river.
