Antoher solid day. The changes I've made in my preflop and flop play are starting to show positive return: raising or folding a number of hands I was calling with preflop, and letting go of more hands on the flop when appropriate. Also, good post majorkong...I learned very quickly not to fold top-pair-no-kicker on the flop when there's not major action.

That said, there was one hand today that I would like some feedback on.

I get dealt JT in the CO. MP limps, I limp (anyone fold here with only a single limper?), button calls, BB checks. Four to the flop for 2.25BB.

Flop: Q54r

Checked around.

Turn: K, completes the rainbow

Checked to me, I bet. I figure that between picking up an open-end straight draw to the nuts, and the scare card falling, this was an appropraite spot to semi-bluff. Folded to MP who calls.

River: 2

MP checks, I bet, he folds and I take it down uncontested.

Comments?

Preflop: I'm trying to get away from unsuited broadway cards. JTo, I would fold. JTs I would raise.

Turn: good bet.

River: This bluff has to work 25% of the time to be EV+. Obviously, it's pretty opponent dependent, but I think it's worthwhile.
