Party 5-10 vs Party 10-20

I have been lpaying the party 5-10 short games for about 4 weeks and i have been doing pretty well.
My queation is should I move up to the party 10-20? I have worked my way up to 300+ 10-20 BBs. And while i won't move up for at least a few weeks i was woundering if the 10-20 games as good, and how they are different,

Generally not very different. You may expect to run into the occasional good player on the 10-20 tables.

10/20 on party is a lot harder than 5/10 on party. 5/10 has all the fish that would rather play 2/4 or 3/6, but can't because Party doesn't have 6 max at those stakes. It's certainly beatable, and there's certainly still fish, but don't be suprirsed if your BB / hour is a lot lower.

Very well thought out response. I totally agree with Justin, except at 10/20 there is a lot of equity in playing against over-aggressive fish rather than clueless fish. If you are good at standing a lot of heat, try the 10/20.

That said, you can still find GIGANTIC fish in the 10/20 SH. I kid you not, here are #'s on a 10/20 SH player I sat in with for 45 minutes, less than a week ago:

Voluntarily put $ into pot: 94.4%
Raised PF: 83.33%
Went to showdown: 71.88%
Won % at showdown: 28.26%

If you try hard enough (and are a little bit lucky /images/graemlins/smirk.gif), you can find these type of players at the 10/20 SH.

This has to be some kind of record!

Even at Party $1/$2 I have no-one on record as having played that % of hands, and the raising % has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen....surely this is some kind of cruel joke, designed to tempt people to play $10/$20... /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Your guy you will have to make some hands to beat and could cause you some major swings. My guy just liked to limp in and then give up; it was basically impossible to lose to him. My guy's net result over these 229 hands: -$888

There's lots of fish out there in 10-20. LOTS.
