I was wondering if anyone had a good strategy for heads up on-line hold'em.... I find myself pretty successful by raising preflop when not on button, and re-raising a lot because I have noticed that calling is not a good option.

What about starting hand requirements?? Ax, any two 9's and up, any pairs.

what about suited connectors, worth playing heads up, ie 7c8c???

At the risk of being dull, but as no-one has replied yet, I will take the risk.

My experience on playing HU is very limited, but I do find myself in that position from time to time on a table. I found the section on HU play in HFAP extremely useful. Although specific hands are not given, a pretty solid general selection criteria is given, from which you can easily form a list.

If you have already read the book, my apologies, but this particular section is, IMO, necessary reading.

I played some heads-up and there are some players will defend their blinds everytime, and the raising strategy doesn't seem to work.

There are also some players who raise almost everytime and bet automatically when you check. Those players are easy to trap when you have a good hand.
