I have $140 have everyone covered, EP has $28

How about this ($25NL, Party, .25/.50). I have 77 in the CO. EP player raise to $3, 3 call and myself (I get the button). Pot is $15

flop is T38r, Ep bets $6

every one folds to me, I put him on A(JKQ) based on his $6 bet into a $15 pot, so I decide to raise to $20 putting him allin.

was this a bad bet.

he thinks, and thinks, he calls

Turn is an A
River is a 4

He had AJ.

was my thinking off on this?

Preflop, this call is questionable. It is more than 10% of the stacks you are against. But with multiple callers and good position, it is close.

On the flop, you made a correct read and you trusted it. You were 2.5-to-1 favorite when the money went in. You can't get much better than that.

However, you need to be pretty confidant of your read. If he might play JJ or AT exactly the same way, then you might be calling when you were WAY behind.

Well you got your money in with the best of it. What else can really be said?

Looks like your thinking was right on the spot. The problem is that people don't always do what their supposed to do. In this case he should have folded with so few outs to beat what you represented. And he wasn't that deep. But that's just MHO.
