I do not know about the band Motorhead so must plead ignorance, but would not be surprised if this were true.

In an early 70's movie called 'Sleeper' by Woody Allen there is a contrapation called an orgasmatron. The name, of course, supplies all you need to kown of its supposed function. The contrapation was not gender specific either.
