Something odd happened to me the other day. A tournament was breaking up, at the same time a new ring game was trying to start. I asked a guy I know who just got knocked out of the tournament to join our game.
Now I don't know him that well. He and I are very friendly when we see eachother at the casino, but that's all. I only met him a few months ago.
I ask him to join us since we are short on players. He says he's not in the mood for a ring game, but he'll back me. He'd give me half of my buy in and said we'd split whatever I had when I left the game, assuming I didn't have to rebuy.
I've never even thought about this type of thing, so I was a little unsure. Should I always jump at this deal if it's offered in the future? At one point is this a good or bad deal for me?
I took him up on the offer, since I didn't feel like playing for much anyway.
I made $14 before the game broke half an hour later for a solid $7 profit. /images/smile.gif
