View Full Version : Need help with card rooms in Biloxi

Guys,

I will be heading to Biloxi in a couple of weeks for about 4 nights. I have NEVER gambled there before. Where are the good card rooms, what are the games there like, and what kind of limits can I expect? Any particular places to be sure to play at or avoid? What are the big differences between live holdem and on-line holdem (besides the obvious lack of a computer! :-)) Just looking for a little heads up before I go.

About me- I am a newbie Hold `em player, never played Holdem in a casino before! Been trying to learn and play as much as I can over the past 3 months. Currently play 1/2 PP. Am absolutely OBSESSED with this game! :-)

Thanks in advance!

Paul: You have two basic choices in the Biloxi area. The Biloxi Grand is 'the' poker room in south Miss. there are about 20 tables. The last time i was there, they spread 1-4-8-8 spread limit holdem. the Grand in Gulfport spreads 1-4-8-8 also. I have played in games all over the scale in both places from very loose and passive, to very loose and agressive to very tight passive/agressive. I would approach the games buying in for about $100. If you play tight and agressive this should be adequate.

The president apparently has a small room but i have never played there. Treasure bay used to have a room but the last post i saw on the region did not list them as having one.

I stick with Paradise, I hear all the brick and mortar card rooms are fixed.
