Hi everyone,

I had the following hand at a good $5-$10 game at the Taj Mahal.

I pick up A 10 off suit in the big blind.

A player whose game I find suspect open limps from + 4 UTG, the button calls and I check my option.

The flop comes Q 3 3.

I check suspect player bets button folds, I raise suspect player groans and calls.

The turn come Q 3 3 Q

I bet, suspect player thinks about 30 seconds and mucks.

Any comments?

I will share my thoughts in a follow up post.

What a perfect turn card. Nicely done. I've pulled such moves on the right player heads up more than once.

Peace,
Joe

I had a solid Ulysses like image at the table. I had not shown down a loser. To help my image in this players mind I had beaten him player earlier with 8’s full against his trip Kings. If the button had called, I would have folded.

This spot to me seemed like the perfect check raise semi bluff.

I find these hands most rewarding. I hate them when they miss, however I really like then when they hold up.
