Is acceptable to play at a lower limit than your appropriate for your current OIC bankroll IF there are no open tables at the appropriate level?

TGC isn't exactly Party, right now there is one $1/$2 6-max table running, and one empty full table. I guess I could go play on some other site but I'd rather be working on increasing my OIC bankroll.

I'm sure you know the general Rules and therefore you know the answer to your question.

If you like playing at TGC at the 0.50-1 level, (and that would be a first /images/graemlins/tongue.gif ), then play away, but I'm afraid it won't count towards your OIC bankroll. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

No, if you're playing OIC, you must play at the limit appropriate for your BR. It's a pain sometimes, but that's the rule. I've had decent luck sitting at an empty table and waiting for other players to wander in; usually, a couple of people show up within a few minutes, and it snowballs from there.
