UB $0.50 sitters - Bots?

I've got a question for people that play at UB. I constantly see tables that have one person sitting in them, and this person has $0.50 on the table. You join the table, and they just time out & then sit out. Are these UB bots? Whats the point of this?

(I've seen probably more then a dozen different usernames of $0.50 sitters)

I think they are just worthless bastards who like to annoy the [censored] out us. There are several players who do this in the real and UBpoint games. I have actually played them on occasion and they've chatted, so they're not bots. However nothing is more annoying when they won't play at any of the tables they are on.

I believe they are trying to qualify ofr double UB points by being the first persotn to start a table. Not positive it works at fifty cent tables, but that is a very likely possibility.
