Down 5.5 BB after one hand?

I am new to the table and have no reads on the players or notes.
Hero gets J /images/graemlins/club.gifJ /images/graemlins/heart.gif in the Big Blind

EP1, EP2, EP3 and CO all limp, Button and SB fold, Hero raises All call. Not exactly the easiest first hand to play.

Flop: (8.5 SB) 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif2 /images/graemlins/heart.gif
Hero bets, EP1 calls,EP2 calls, EP3 raises, CO folds, Hero 3-bets, EP1 and EP2 call, EP3 just calls. I reraised to try to get EP1&EP2 to fold and define my hand? EP3's call made me think he had a pair or overcards?

Turn:(10.5 BB) 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif
Hero bets, EP1 folds, EP2 raises???, EP3 calls, Hero calls.
I really had no idea now what EP2 had and since my Jacks were still an overpair with not to coordinated of a board and a large pot I called?correct?

River:(16.5 BB) 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Hero checks, EP2 checks?, EP3 bets, Hero calls EP2 calls.

Results to follow. What do you think they had? Is there a read here I missed?

My guess
EP2 had a set. I hope hes got 88 but my second guess is 77. He either slowplayed 88 or just hit his set on the turn.

EP3 had a 5 for the strait.

Just my guess but I could be way off depending on the number quality of opponents.

EP2 had KK for an overpair.
EP3 had 22 for a plopped set.

EP2: 87, 74, some two-pair hand.
EP3: A8, I would think with a set the average player would reraise the turn. More likely his river bet was a steal attempt rather than him having a 5, but who can say.

I thought your flop 3-bet was good but when EP2 wakes up on the turn your pair was beat.
