Aggressive BB play

15-30 game online. I have K /images/graemlins/diamond.gifJ /images/graemlins/club.gif in the BB. 1 MP limps and it's folded to me. I raise, he calls.


Flop: 9 /images/graemlins/club.gifA /images/graemlins/diamond.gifJ /images/graemlins/club.gif

I bet, he raises, I 3-bet, he calls.

Turn: 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

I bet, he folds.

there's no way you knocked him off of any hand that beat yours or a flush draw.

Why would you say that? I'm not saying it's likely, but it's clearly possible that MP limped with Axs and was convinced the the flop 3-bet that Inthacup had AK or AQ.

Just because you would never play a hand better than KJ that way doesn't mean no one would. I imagine lots of players who are trying really hard to play well could play something like A7s this way.

because it's online 15/30. there are better odds of getting struck by a bolt of lightning than there are pushing someone off a better hand here.

I agree that he most likely did not move someone off an A. But he could have moved someone off a hand hand like TJ or QJ which would have been a split pot.
