MP limps, button limps and I check with 9To. Flop is A92, two spades and I don't have one.

Bet, check-fold, check-raise, or check-call?

I bet it. Both call. Turn is another small spade, and I hate this but I bet anyways. MP folds, button calls again.

River is a red King, and I check.

Do you call if he bets?

Routine? Boring? Brilliant?

Hi ElSapo,

I wouldn't bet the Flop unless you are comfortable with having to bet the Turn again unimproved. I am not sure what limits you were playing at, but people will generally call the Flop with anything, so I don't think that this bet has much value as a semi-bluff. I just check-fold this generally, but maybe I am giving up too much.

Having bet the Flop, I would bet the Turn, and then check-call the River.

I fold in this situation. He is more than likely a head.

Check and call a bet. If you bet, he might fold a better 9, but he also might fold 88-55 or something like a lone spade, which will do you no good. I think there is a better chance you will get bluffed at by a worse hand when you check, than betting and getting called by a worse hand.
