I am in the BB of a .25/.50 game on UB.

I’m dealt ATs

Pre-flop: EP calls. MP calls. CO & Button call. I check.

Flop (board: 5d Ad 8c): I bet. All call.

Turn (board: 5d Ad 8c Ts): I check and it is checked around to Button who bets. I call as does MP.

River (board: 5d Ad 8c Ts 4d): I bet. MP calls. Button raises. I call, MP folds.

How badly did I play this?

Why didn't you check raise on the turn? BTW, it would really help if you described how the table was playing and any reads you had on your opponents.

I might've bet out on the turn, depending on whether or not I think I could've gotten a bet out of the other, but after you checked and the last player bets, you gotta raise.

the turn and river were bad.

i about dropped a nut when you said you check the turn. then when i saw a bet, i said, whew, here comes the c/r....................................... ok maybe not.

the river? you lost a lot of bets on ths one.

either lead the turn or check-raise it. looks like button's flush might have come in on the river...i don't think there is anything wrong with just calling his raise here.

Thanks for the replies. I actually won the hand with 2 pair.

The table was loose and bordered between stretches of passive and then aggressive play.

And I agree, I should have c/r the turn. I knew I had played it poorly. Just wanted some input. Thanks.

At these levels I am not convinced playing fancy will do any good. I would have just bet out.

You checked two pair with out check raising?

That makes no sense. Plus you now have a diliema. The button could just have top pair with an Ace and not a flush. He probably doesn't put you on much of anything, and I certainly wouldn't give him credit for a flush. I'd say raise here, but with out other information you could have gathered earlier, it's hard to say what exactly to do.
