Sorry if this has been posted before, but just would like to remind everyone that Pokerstar's 75k tourney with 1000fpp buy in is today at 2:30pm Est. So don't miss this opportunity to get a shot on a big pay day. Good luck.

Assume 1700 ppl sign up, so $75000/1700 ppl = $44 per player, so $44 is the expect return for each player. Winning low limit poker cost 2000fpp, and Amazon sells it for $20. There's better value return for fpp in the 75k, since each fpp is worth about 4.4c, while getting a book the return of each fpp is only worth about 1c.

No kidding.

About 3 weeks ago, I spent my last 1000 fpp's on a cruise sat tourney. Needless to say, it would have been much more +EV if I had entered into this 75k tourney instead.

Does it not seem kind of wierd that over 2000 people have registered for this tournament? By looking at the lobby at Pokerstar's peak time they may have around 8000 players. So by my calculations, 25 percent of players have over 1000 points for this many people to be registered? That just seems a little unlikely. Even say out of the 8000, 4000 have real money accounts, it would be very unlikely that 50 percent of all the real money players, have that many points.

Getting points on stars is fairly difficult. It took me over 6 months to accumulate over 1000 points.

Just hard to beleive that

Sillyness

I had 200 FPPs on my stars account as I haven't played in a while. I made a deposit at 4p.m. yesterday and by midnight I had made the 1,000 FPPS to play the tourney.

How many tables were you playing at one time? What limits?

Not everyone plays 3 tables, for 8 hours straight ya know.

My guess is that Pokerstars' real money player base is probably way more than 8000 players, so that's why there are more than 2000 ppl can afford the 1000fpp.

I've been playing 1 or 2 tables on and off for the last 8 hours and I've made about 500 FPP.

I played between 1 and 4 tables. I take a 15 minute break every 1.5 - 2 hours and switch games.

I played last night:

1-2$ limit omaha/8
1-2$ stud/8
2-4$ stud/8
3-6$ holdem
10-20$ holdem
.50-1.00$ NL holdem
.50-1.00$ PLO/8
1-2$ PLO/8
1-2$ PLO
2-4$ PLO

If it takes you over 6 months to make 1000 FPP at stars this tourney aint for you! I'd guess that one or two thousand found it was for them - sadly not me cos I can't work out EST v Spanish time - maņana
