Its a hand that , someone I know , play few months ago . I know , you all heard bad beat story about someone who make backdoor straight flush to beat quads , but mine is tough to beat .

hold'em 5-10 in a small local casino .

I dont know if someone limp before but its not very important .
Heros raise with QQ .
I don't know if anyone call behind him or in the blind , but its not important .

FLOP come : AAA

Check to heros who bet . They all fold but one who make a bad actor move like if it was painful to call and he calls . All the other fold

Turn : AAA-rag

They both check

river : AAA-rag-rag

The only other player still in the hand make a move with his shoulders , the kind , like maybe I have the best hand so I'll bet .

Heros knows he is beat , but it cost only 10$ to win a maybe 80$ ' pot or something , so he has teh pot odds , & call in case . The other player show AT , heros throw is QQ in the muck .

Now you remember the title of the post " greatest bad beat ever " & you are not impress at all ???

That casino got a bad beat jackpot . You must lose a full house AAAJJ or better , the losing hand must lose using his 2 cards in the hole . The winning hand must use his 2 cards in the hole. At this time the, the jackpot was 7000$ , he would have receive 3500$ , the player with AT ; 1750 , the other player at the table around 200$ or 300$ .

Of course , it was too late since he throws the cards in the muck , & players ask him what was he got after ?

Our casino also has an Aces-full of Jacks or better jackpot and your friend's hand would not have qualified in ours. In ours you must have your Aces-full beat by four of a kind or better, which of course your friend did. However, with Aces-full you must have at least one Ace in your hand to qualify for the bad beat jackpot, which your friend obviously did not. If your casino has the same jackpot rules as ours your friend didn't take such a bad beat after all.

Most of the rooms in California do not have the restrictions that Canterbury Park does, and this hand would qualify. I did once have my QQ lose to A-something on an AAA board at CP.

I think that I can beat that story;CP in Mn has a jackpot aces full of tens getting beat both hole cards play and for aces full one ace has to be in your hand.

Board is kkk33; don't remember the order but two giant stacks are all in after the river.

The pocket threes shows and says show me your king and lets get that jackpot. The whole table get's excited; we are ready to yell forthe floor and the other guy tables k2; the only hand with a king that is not jackpot eligible. That was one bad beat.
