I always keep my mouth shut because I don't want to rock the boat and scare the fish away...

But, geez, it's hard to when you are in pot after pot with 5-6 people who NEVER bet but call everything you put out there.

Huge hand? You can't check-raise because it will get checked through. Top pair with an T kicker? The pot will be the same because if you want to win anything you have to put it out there yourself.

I'm not talking about suckouts here. I'm talking about a desire to yell out: "WHY DON'T YOU PANSIES GROW A FRIGGIN SPINE AND BET OUT FOR ONCE?!".

Thanks for letting me vent.. I need somewhere to do it. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I played in a game at True yesterday where my opponent turned a straight flush. He check/called the turn. River was checked through. Maybe he didn't realize what he had.

Party SNG 5+1 LHE

I raise AK preflop. 2 callers.

K92r flop. I bet, 1 caller.
blank turn. bet call.
blank river. bet call.

I lose to K9. I almost thanked him in the chat for saving me bets.

You are right - it would be so nice if what they got a good hand they would really bet a lot so they could take MORE of my money.

I see so many people calling with a boat - or last night a guy raised me on the flop, we checked all around on the turn, I bet on the river and he called with TTT and NOTHING on the board.

I had top 2 pair and would have lost a ton!

I'm not saying betting would be better for me. I'm just saying that personality annoys me. Like an old lady that takes 15 seconds to change lanes in traffic.

I'm just amazed at how people go through this thought process 20 times in a row: "oh, I should probably just check. [Someone Bets] oh, well, I guess I should call that."

Strange. I find Party to be pretty aggressive at the micro limits compared to say Pacific or Intercasino. Cannot say for sure about Paradise. But they seem quite passive there too based on my casual observations.

I played on a .5-1 table at Party last night for an hour, and three times various opponents limped preflop with AA. One time I raised PF with KK and was called by an opponent holding AA. In fact, we went to the showdown and he never raised me once on any street. Passive, passive, passive! /images/graemlins/confused.gif
