Ok i just got ripped apart playing a $40 buy-in NL holdem tournament with one additional $20 add-on at anytime during the first hour. (Sahara Casino, Las Vegas)

Anyway, I think i played way too aggressively way too early.
You start off with T1500 and blinds start at 25-25 then 25-50, 50-100... etc.

First hand of the game i get dealt ATo someone comes in for T100, i call (bad idea right?)

How would you play AQo, AJ, AK really early in the tournament? Come in for a raise or just limp? I always came in with a raise and it proved to be quite costly. Should i play more conserative early? I ended up busted out when i went all in with KQ in MP and when i was shortstacked and got called by AA.

This experience really taught me that i need to learn A LOT about playing tournaments. Please give me any advice!

You tell me. Would you call a raise in a limit ring game with ATo?

In EP, I won't play AQo or AJo early in a tournament when the stacks are deep. I'll usually raise AK, but will occaisionally limp. If the table's tight enough, I'll raise with AQo in MP and AJo in LP, but I'm prepared to play both very cautiously if I'm called.

Oh, yeah, KQ is a huge money-burner at NL.
