I lost 4 all-ins, from the turn, on rivered straights tonight, 2 of which were gutshots.
Am I being unrealistic to think I am having really bad luck? Does this just happen? Because this is about normal now for me, this past two weeks. Maybe I've been lucky to not have this happen before. Ok, maybe once or even twice in an evening's play. But four times?
I wish there was a feature on poker tracker for "running hot" or "running cold", where it kept some kind of tally for the EV of your plays vs the AV (actual value). Then I could know whether I really am just a losing player, or I am just running cold for an extended period.
Maybe I'm just forgetting when I layed down beats of my own, but I really don't think so. I don't think I won an all-in coming from behind a single time. Maybe that's the tally I'll keep. all-ins that I "deserved" to win vs. all-ins that I actually won. This could be a measure of hot/cold to either calm me down or face reality and get me out of the game.
